Payment methods

MoxMarket supports two payment methods, and the choice affects what protection is available to you if something goes wrong.
Card payment: Your payment is held in the seller's MoxMarket wallet until you confirm you have received the item. Because MoxMarket holds the funds during this window, we can step in and release funds back to you if a dispute is raised and resolved in your favour. This is the payment method with the strongest buyer protection.
Bank transfer: You pay the seller directly using their bank details and an order reference. This is a common and trusted way to pay in the NZ TCG community, but because the money moves directly between you and the seller, MoxMarket cannot reverse or retrieve it. If a dispute arises on a bank transfer order, we can mediate and take action against a seller's account, but we cannot force a refund.

If buyer protection matters to you for a particular purchase, card payment is the safer choice.
